A result of Alcon's expertise in water surface technologies, SMARTSURFACE Technology keeps moisture on the lens surface. This helps prevent your contacts from drying out and your eyes feeling irritated.

PRECISION1 contacts are also incredibly breathable because they’re made of silicone hydrogel. This lens material allows nourishing oxygen to reach the surface of the eye. Our eyes need oxygen to stay moist, clear, and healthy. 

In addition, PRECISION1 contacts are classified as Class 1 lenses. This means they can block 96% of UVA rays and 100% of UVB rays. They also come with a light blue visibility tint for easier handling during insertion and removal ⁠— a particularly helpful feature for first-time contact lens wearers.
